Wayfind Media develops location-based mobile applications for arts and entertainment enthusiasts. Our mission is to harness the power of mobile technologies to connect people with the creativity in their communities as its happening. Wayfind’s premier product is Random Stage, an application that connects music lovers to live performances and venues wherever they are. We also develop custom mobile applications for large, multi-venue cultural events and package these for licensing or sponsorship.
Wayfind Media’s Chief Wayfinder is Brendan Philp, who brought this team together to create Random Stage in 2009. A former concert promoter and occasional performer, Brendan’s passion for live music collided with his inner geek on a ski lift that year when, not in his home town, he found himself wondering where to find some great local acts beyond the tourist traps. Suddenly, the potential of mobile social media applications as a way to promote culture became an imperative, and Random Stage was born. Wayfind Media is based in Toronto, Canada, today, with ambitions of one day being everywhere that artists and audiences are looking for each other.
